Google Optimization Report

Apparently I’m terrible at optimizing my site, in Google’s eyes. A few months ago I started blacklisting and filtering low paying ads, which has increased my earnings. However, the filtering has lowered the actual number of clicks I receive. This coupled with me using more and more Affiliate Programs has my focus moving away from monetization with Google Adsense.

It’s fine and it’s dandy, but for the second month in a row I’ve received a notice from Google stating that I’m blocking too many ads. Perhaps I’m blocking ads that convert well for my site, according to Google. Automation is nice, just keep it out of your optimization report…at least for 2 months in a row. Dang’t, I know what I’m missing out on and it’s nothing more than a $.01 click.
