So how long before the video that captured Irwin’s death will be leaked onto the net?

I agree that it’s sad that Irwin has passed, we know he will be missed, but no one should really be surprised. I attribute his death to that of Nascar superstar Dale Earnhardt, a big fat ‘no-surprise’. Both of these individuals spent their entire lives living on the edge, playing with poisonous snakes and driving at 200+ mph. Something was bound to happen…sometime.

I give it one week before fake videos pop-up of the stingray ending Irwin’s existence and 1 month before the real video is leaked. Right now there are so many conflicting stories it’s hard to say exactly how and what happened. One story says he died immediately and another says he pulled the barb right out of his chest. What would dundee do? WWDD

Google, google, and more google. Apparently the minds behind the worlds greatest search engine have nothing better to do than come up with silly search pages. Maybe they should work on getting spam out of the SERP’s…cough, cough.

Thought I would throw an about me post into this surf crap mix. Currently, I’m grooving out to SilverChair greatest hits…lazily perusing through my bookmarks of most addicitve sites. Here is a brief list to keep you guys informed on what I waste my time with while surfing.

Seriously some boring stuff, but I just find it all so interesting lately. At most times it’s all above my head, but it helps me follow along with some heated discussions amongst the forums I frequent. Right now I have a huge plate of ideas, that are just overflowing onto the ground, for better or worse. Some of my sites are going unattended…others are being too heavily focused on.

The problem is content…quality content. It’s not hard to write content about a certain subject, whether I’m interested in it or not. However, it’s a completely different story to write several decent articles on a handful of different topics. Unfortunately I just don’t think my brain is big enough to handle tasks such as that most of the time. Anyways, back to making coffee and going blind reading crap I don’t understand.

I am truly amazed every single time I turn on my computer and jump on the world wide web. Does anyone call it the world wide web anymore? Anyways, a glimpse of what I was reading earlier:

Does anyone have detailed information or study of the ‘The Shadow People’ do they target specific individuals? Why do they? What dimension are they from?

The discussion takes a few very technical turns and then I find out what the thread is about…

Thanks for the info… The information I had from a ‘friend’ is that one of them crawled out of the shadow on a ceiling with little or no artificial light in the room. They apparently only show the top part of their ‘torsos’ and have red glowing eyes. And then surreally crawled back into the shadow after a couple of seconds. I find this fascinating since they apparently live in shadows as well or use the shadows as a doorway to our reality.

Finding quality templates on the internet is easy, but finding ones that are free and unique is not. On occasions I will come across templates for WordPress and other website layouts. Today, I found one that truly stands apart in ease of previewing and downloading.

Get a mouthfull, do some downloading, and create a new site. You may notice I’m using one of the owners themed templates on my Wii blog.

Why oh why are people falling trap to this half assed site creation craze? My wife loves her MySpace and the ability to keep in touch with her friends, but it’s no different than what she did before MySpace. Sent an email/PM saying look at my pictures, then posted in her blog, which was on another site.

Where is the appeal?

Garrr, the template designs and the way the sites are put together drive me up a wall. I’m sure they are designed with the webdeveloper noob in mind, but it still seems confusing. lol I guess it’s kind of hard to argue with millions of people though….garsh.

That’s why I have contracted my wife to design a MySpace account to market a few of my websites. Not sites such as this, but rather to my Wii site, etc that will appeal to a younger crowd. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.

By now we are all familiar with what Wikipedia has to offer us internet surfers. Although it’s editing practices and over abundance of spammers makes some pages tacky, useless, or frustrating. But, for all intents and purposes it is becoming what it set out to become, an open source encylopedia, which means you must accept the previous shortcomings.

The problem with Wikpedia is that it’s virtually full, almost all possible topics have been covered and already have a strong following of editors. Or, you have something to add but the Wikipedia format is too difficult for you to grasp onto. Now is the time for you to discover Zimbio.

Zimbio operates on portals and these portals are created by Gurus. The layout of each portal is easily customizable ala web 2.0 graphics and navigation. What’s better, is that it provides simple point and click interface for layout design, adding RSS feeds, and even features a blog and forum for each niche.

I’ve been contributing to a handful of topics already on Zimbio and you can see what I’ve done at the Wii Portal. Anyone who signs up is able to add to the blog, add links, rate links, add photos, or even post in our blog. Although this setup is much simpler than Wikipedia, that is also it’s strong point. Anyone can contribute, but Guru’s have final say so if something needs to be removed.

So, if you feel you know your topic and want to start creating pages, jump in, the site is still new and there are lots of topics that need to be covered. But take warning, Guru’s are the only ones able to delete blog entries and other sorts of items. This is especially important because your page will quickly become cluttered with spam on viagra if you don’t take care of your page.

Wow, talk about your diverse roles. Let’s hope Ledger can pull this one off.
