Sony Buys Grouper

Grouper.com in it's infancy was a hotbed of warez swapping and a kazaa alternative to most. It's cumbersome controls and resource intensive software ruled it out as a choice to hardcore p2p enthusiasts. However, because of it's user friendliness it seems to have caught on and is now changing it's ways.

Sony announced they have purchased Grouper.com and intend to market legal videos via this p2p video portal ring, thingy. Check it out for yourself at Grouper.com.

Great Source of CSS Templates

Finding quality templates on the internet is easy, but finding ones that are free and unique is not. On occasions I will come across templates for Wordpress and other website layouts. Today, I found one that truly stands apart in ease of previewing and downloading.

Get a mouthfull, do some downloading, and create a new site. You may notice I'm using one of the owners themed templates on my Wii blog.

MySpace MySpace MySpace

Why oh why are people falling trap to this half assed site creation craze? My wife loves her MySpace and the ability to keep in touch with her friends, but it's no different than what she did before MySpace. Sent an email/PM saying look at my pictures, then posted in her blog, which was on another site.

Where is the appeal?

Garrr, the template designs and the way the sites are put together drive me up a wall. I'm sure they are designed with the webdeveloper noob in mind, but it still seems confusing. lol I guess it's kind of hard to argue with millions of people though....garsh.

That's why I have contracted my wife to design a MySpace account to market a few of my websites. Not sites such as this, but rather to my Wii site, etc that will appeal to a younger crowd. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Moola Acct Detail

Last night I received my first statment from the highly popular flash game site Moola.com. What makes it interesting is how pathetic I play the most simple games, its a good thing this site is free.

Current Acc't Balance $2.59 Highest Acc't Balance $ 3318.57
Total Games Played 14 Most Games Played 7308
Win/Loss/Tie Record 9/2/3
Highest Level Reached 10 Highest Level Reached 17
Largest Single Cash Out Redeemed $ 1350.00

Pure unadulterated BS, I should at least be around the $10,000 mark by now...I'm so disappointing.

Zimbio vs Wikipedia

By now we are all familiar with what Wikipedia has to offer us internet surfers. Although it's editing practices and over abundance of spammers makes some pages tacky, useless, or frustrating. But, for all intents and purposes it is becoming what it set out to become, an open source encylopedia, which means you must accept the previous shortcomings.

The problem with Wikpedia is that it's virtually full, almost all possible topics have been covered and already have a strong following of editors. Or, you have something to add but the Wikipedia format is too difficult for you to grasp onto. Now is the time for you to discover Zimbio.

Zimbio operates on portals and these portals are created by Gurus. The layout of each portal is easily customizable ala web 2.0 graphics and navigation. What's better, is that it provides simple point and click interface for layout design, adding RSS feeds, and even features a blog and forum for each niche.

I've been contributing to a handful of topics already on Zimbio and you can see what I've done at the Wii Portal. Anyone who signs up is able to add to the blog, add links, rate links, add photos, or even post in our blog. Although this setup is much simpler than Wikipedia, that is also it's strong point. Anyone can contribute, but Guru's have final say so if something needs to be removed.

So, if you feel you know your topic and want to start creating pages, jump in, the site is still new and there are lots of topics that need to be covered. But take warning, Guru's are the only ones able to delete blog entries and other sorts of items. This is especially important because your page will quickly become cluttered with spam on viagra if you don't take care of your page. ;)

Broke Back Batman

Wow, talk about your diverse roles. Let's hope Ledger can pull this one off.

Like Playing Flash Games?

It seems that online flash games are becoming increasingly addictive and intricate. Not to mention the sheer number of websites offering them now is a bit out of control. However, if your looking for a good list of fast, free, and quality gaming sites my Blackfox Directory is building a very strong list.

Flash Games

Peruse through the links, find a site you like and let me know. If any site is singled out as having a better gaming experience than the rest, it will be featured in my Directory Blog.

BlogMad Surf & Blogexplosion Mishap

As some of you are aware I utilize the traffic generating site BlogMad, for some of my sites. The idea is that you surf other peoples blogs and for every site you visit, you are awarded a visitor to yours. Ultimately, the goal is for you to branch out and discover blogs that you otherwise would not have found. But, it's not all silver lining.

Today, I was surfing through some blogs via Blogmad and happened upon a very religious blog, preaching fire and brimstone. Apparently blogs such as this is the latest craze, because about 1 in 4 on Blogmad states that I'm going to hell...for different reasons.

The unusual and funny part is that he blog in question was displaying text advertisements for BlogExplosion. The advertisement block lists a number of blogs, which exchange credits for an advertisement spot on said blog. What did I find being advertised on this entirely extreme religious fanatic blog.....

BryanBoy.com/bryanboy_le_superstar_fab/

The anchor text in the advertisement was "The Gayest Gay Ever!". Ineteresting enough this self proclaimed 'Third-World Faggot' has apparently developed a following. And now, he's coming at ya balls to the wall pretty boy faggo style on The Christian Prophecy.

Alexadex Rumble

Referral LinkOk, so I've joined into a clan in the popular online investment game Alexadex. At this point I've fought my way to second place in the clan and it's a sizable jump to get to first, this is where my visitors come into play.

You can easily help me earn an additional $10,000 by simply signing up to this game. It costs nothing to play and can actually be pretty fun. Basically, using the stats from Alexa.com, you invest in certain sites. Their 'worth' is figured buy how heavy their traffic stats are.

What do I win if I get first, a swift kick in the ass and a job well done. ;)

Pointless Website

In a mindless surf I found a site entitled BlinkYou.com and I just can't find an honest use for what it has to offer. Basically you get to make notes on funny and/or serious looking gif backgrounds. Really, there is no point, but could make for some interesting filler for forum posts.Asshole Skunk

Something to consider at least.
