Incredible Phone Storage Space Is Getting Low – Fix

[ad#toppostleft]The HTC Incredible has been an amazing phone for me and works 99% of the time.  However, I’ve been running into an error, where it reports that my phone storage space is getting low.  Now, I have verified that my space is in fact not getting low, so we have a bug in the software.  Problem is, HTC does not recognize the bug, so no official fix exists, other than to simply do a hard reset.

Doing a hard reset means that you lose all of your applications, settings, and themes.  Basically you are forcing your phone back to the way it was when you first turned it on.  No thanks.  Thankfully, I’ve found another solution, which although may need to be repeated, is simple and effective.

To fix the Phone Storage Space is Getting Low error message, simply follow the steps below:

1.)Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All (Tab)

2.)Then find the Facebook Application.

3.)After selecting the Facebook application click the ‘Clear Data’ button.

Now, the Phone Storage Space is Getting Low error should be removed and your phone working properly.  This may need to be repeated from time to time, but is a much easier fix for the HTC Incredible than doing a hard reset, that is until the next update hopefully fixes this problem.

  1. Well this used to work until the latest update just a couple days ago. Now is does not do anything at all except make you have to login to facebook again once the app is restarted. This is a known problem with the latest gingerbread update for the incredible and it is seriously pissing a lot of people off so HTC needs to get off their asses and send out a fix and QUICK! At this point I will think long and hard about ever owning another HTC phone. I have deleted apps and moved as many as the phone will allow me to the sd card but my storage low message is still there annoying the hell out of me!

  2. For the first time since I have had this phone my I phone friends are laughing at us all.
Its not a long term solution I aggreeeeeee! Deleting the facebook app helped at first. Then moving everything off to the sd also was a shorty term fix. What is gong on
Anyone have any other ideas, I still cant sync my emails or get rid of the Memory full error!!!

  3. I think the last apps I installed were Autocad WS and Flash Player after which the message appeared. These are massive applications stored in the sd card. But a bug does not have to follow any known logic, that is, until the logic is found.
