Bob, that's odd, I'm fairly certain my Adsense ads are clickable within the Google Image frame, assuming they aren't hidden by the enlarged image.

I created a sunglasses blog that was getting lots of traffic but few adsense clicks. When I checked my analytics i discovered 85% of traffic was image ads. That explained it all: Visitors were viewing the images on Google frame and not bothering to visit the site. On the other hand I discovered an amazon widget placed on the right side bar had a descent CTR. When I checked my site via Google image i noticed the adsense blocks were visible but not clickable but the amazon widget was very much clickable.

I've an idea if someone feels that this can be acomplished. Before explaining the idea, lemme clear I've tried all else ways to monetize but the probably effect traffic like break frames etc.

My idea is that to create some plugin that will place ads on that image screen which have iframes (i.e. when image being viewed using google). The image sizes may varry a leaderboard or a sidelong ad. and they will over-ride all the divs using z-index.

I'm amazed if somebody can create that or I'll have to spare my time to write that for me and for thousand of others.

I get around 700,000 impressions on my images. However i am unable to monetize it. I talked to a webmaster recently and added a watermark which says "sponsored by" on the image. But that doesnt pay enough for the traffic. Any other way?

I mainly run Adsense but have made a few bucks on pixzazza, which overlays ads. After it indexes your site, You can opt to login to the backend and matchup specific products to the images that you'll want to sell. It's mainly retail fashion type sites.

Did you every find a good solution to this issue? I have lots of unintended image traffic and am trying to figure out how to monetize it. Any insight is appreciated. My bounce rate is high due to the image grabbing and going. i at least want to entice them further into the site. suggestions?

I'm starting to get a lot of traffic via google image searches - gonna try the adsense route but i'm scared this will reduce my traffic as it might take priority over the image search.
