Google Docs has been a great resource for me in organizing my 2 dozen websites, to-do lists, keeping records, etc. The greatest benefit of Google Docs over other similar programs is that it saves all the information online, which is invaluable considering how many computers I may use in one week. Using Doc's has allowed me to stream line my efforts in promoting my websites and keep tabs on contacts that I'm utilizing in building content rich sites. Documenting resource locations, people is a great way to increase efficiency online.
Today I've been adding a list of people that I'm going to be hiring to write articles for a few of my websites. After completing the .doc I then continue to highlight the box for the article and then move it to a specific folder. When I'm finished moving my .doc's I then start cleaning up old articles that I had written and are no longer needed, even for arhive purposes. I select my boxes and then hit the delete button...surprised that articles that I had selected in a previous folder for a different reason were deleted as well.
Google Docs will take action on any and all boxes that you have selected, regardless of whether or not they are on the current viewable page. Keep this in mind moving documents, deleting documents, or just changing names. Before leaving a page make sure all your actions are complete and deselect any checked boxes.
