Don’t Trust Text-Link-Ads.com

I write this post with a heavy heart, because I have been with TLA since the beginning and used every tool they offer to earn revenue and advertise. However, on too many occasions I have found that the links I’ve been paying for have magically disappeared…but I keep getting billed.

Now, I’ve never had an issue with being credited, nor have I run into a lot of customer service issues, but it negates the point of using their service at all. I use TLA because I don’t have the time to monitor my own links, I pay, I play, I move on. But, if I’m constantly having to check to make sure my links are still in place, what’s the point? I pay a premium to have them look after my links, frankly they are no longer providing a service I’m interested in.

Thanks for the good times Text-Link-Ads.com, I’ll miss you. If you ever come up with a way to better monitor link placements and adjust billing accordingly I’ll happily come back.

P.S. What is up with pushing a crappy service like Shopping Ads down my throat when I log in?

Double Twist Media Sharing

Well, I’m still waiting on the failed attempt of a legitimate music sharing service called Qtrax, so now my attention has been directed to DoubleTwist. The bad boy who broke traditional DVD encryption is back with an application that supposedly can sink up any and all media formats to easily share amongst your friends. The application touts itself as being legal, but what users may do with it is probably not.

I’ve yet to have an opportunity to actually jump into it’s features, but hope to tonight sometime. Based off of information on the Double Twist homepage it reminds me of Grouper, which failed on many levels for my file sharing requirements. Grouper has sense died and became Crackle, which pretty much makes me want to vomit.

For now, I’m cuddling up with Newsleecher and uTorrent, but hopefully Double Twist will help fill another void.

Conservative Comments Buried In Liberal Fecal Matter

Ok, so I’m tired of my comments being buried in liberal shit at places like Digg, Reddit, and pretty much any other social networking site on the web. Are you kidding me, just because there are more libs on sites like these doesn’t mean what I have to say needs to be shit canned. (In some cases completely deleted at Reddit) So is the birth of my latest creation…

I’ve started FecalAgitator.com for my comments to have a place to set, to be viewed, to be discussed on sites that have an agenda other than mine. It’s a place for like minded individuals to help turn the tides, raise diggs, points, or whatever so that our views will not be lost in the noise. It’s my soap box if you will and I’ll be screaming as loudly as possible and try to remain coherent.
