Social Bookmarks

Digg and Shoutwire are some of the best examples of online social bookmark sites. These site scan provide an abnormal amount of traffic to an otherwise dull page. It only takes one front page listing on either of these services to pratically shut down a server.

As a webmaster you know traffic translates into scrilla $$. Bring it on!

This evening I happened upon a service I wasn't familiar with, don't laugh, Reddit. Not only will this site prove as a useful tool to drive traffic to my sites, but also is just phenomenal to use.

What is mashable.com? To me it appears to be a Social Networking 'themed' blog, used to ploy search engines into crawling their site. Consider it a dumbed down version of Digg, where the goal is to get MySpace users to click on ads and use their second-rate layouts, graphics, and glitters. Wikipedia
