TTI and Shadow People

I am truly amazed every single time I turn on my computer and jump on the world wide web. Does anyone call it the world wide web anymore? Anyways, a glimpse of what I was reading earlier:

Hi,

Does anyone have detailed information or study of the ‘The Shadow People’ do they target specific individuals? Why do they? What dimension are they from?

The discussion takes a few very technical turns and then I find out what the thread is about…

Thanks for the info… The information I had from a ‘friend’ is that one of them crawled out of the shadow on a ceiling with little or no artificial light in the room. They apparently only show the top part of their ‘torsos’ and have red glowing eyes. And then surreally crawled back into the shadow after a couple of seconds. I find this fascinating since they apparently live in shadows as well or use the shadows as a doorway to our reality.

This is real to many people apparently, quite disturbing to myself. This is a thread from the TimeTravelInstitute Forum.

AllPeers Falls Short of Expectations

The highly anticipated AllPeers extension for FireFox has officially launched in Beta. Their website AllPeers.com was once a hub for early beta testing signup, but now features a flash tutorial and other goodies. The most notable section of the site would be the PeerPressure blog, official AllPeers Blog.

What’s disturbing are the number of features that would have been considered basic additions to this extension, as noted by The Grayline.

Some of the more notable features that have been left out of the initial offering are,

  • interface for handling standard torrents.
  • a lite version.
  • bandwidth management.
  • community specific sharing.
  • Sony Buys Grouper

Grouper.com in it’s infancy was a hotbed of warez swapping and a kazaa alternative to most. It’s cumbersome controls and resource intensive software ruled it out as a choice to hardcore p2p enthusiasts. However, because of it’s user friendliness it seems to have caught on and is now changing it’s ways.

Sony announced they have purchased Grouper.com and intend to market legal videos via this p2p video portal ring, thingy. Check it out for yourself at Grouper.com.

    Fingerprinting P2P Warez

Phillips, a major electronics manufacturer, has developed a method for fingerprinting warez. The fingerprinting is directly targeted toward video and not necessarily music or applications, although it appears the technology could be converted.

By fingerprinting the certain video segments content owners could identify if/when/where the content was stolen. This process by which segments are fingerprinted is controlled by Phillips on a central server station and proprietary algo. (Surprise, surprise, surprise)

Needless to say that this process is being backed with the “intent” to legally distribute video on p2p networks. So, this tracking is being accepted amongst the big circles…. Get the low down on video fingerprinting by Phillips.

    Great Source of CSS Templates

Finding quality templates on the internet is easy, but finding ones that are free and unique is not. On occasions I will come across templates for Wordpress and other website layouts. Today, I found one that truly stands apart in ease of previewing and downloading.

     http://www.solucija.com/home/css-templates/

Get a mouthfull, do some downloading, and create a new site. You may notice I’m using one of the owners themed templates on my Wii blog.

    BitComet Patch

BitComet Acceleration Patch 4.3 has been released at FileCluster. This plugin/patch obviously speeds up BitComet downloads of the bittorrent persuasion.

According to FileCluster the patch contains no spyware, adware, or malware. Unfortunatley, I’m not a fan of BitComet, therefore have not tried out this patch. Don’t take my word that this will fix all speed problems with BitComet. The key to fast downloads via bittorrent is to make sure your connectable.

For those who find this post via google or another SE and are looking to increase their bittorrent download speeds, check out the TPG forums for some p2p love.

    Weblogs, Inc.

A little over a year ago, I would have laughed if you suggest I start or operate a blog…on any subject. However, lately I’ve seen the power, traffic, and attention a quality run, topical blog can receive. I’m not referring to my boring and undesirable personal blog, rather a blog covering a niche topic like Buy-Wii.net.

Being a good web-marketer, I did my research on the competition on there and what it would take to get more coverage. Upon my surfy travels I noticed a long list of blogs in the side bar of AdJab. All of the blogs listed in the Weblog network are owned by a handful of individuals and the content is all outsourced. A quick visit to WeBlogsInc.com will explain the entire methodology behind the successful franchises.

I know I’m not the best writer, nor the most creative, but I do enjoy wasting away time in front of the PC. So, the hell with it, I applied to be a writer for their network of blogs. My application was made with intent to write for a video game blog, to help market my Wii site. I’ll keep everyone posted here as to what kind of reply I get to my sample work and application.

    AllPeers Minimizing to Tray

I’m still having fun with the AllPeers extension for firefox, checking out the support forums and adding friends. However, there has been one issue that has been driving me up a wall.

Whenever you close FireFox, AllPeers minimizes the browser to your toolbar. Well, when I hit X I want the bitch to close, not minimize. After a few days of frustration I found a fix.

View your FireFox extension, click on AllPeers, click options. There you will find the ability to turn off minimize to tray when closing the browser.

    MySpace MySpace MySpace

Why oh why are people falling trap to this half assed site creation craze? My wife loves her MySpace and the ability to keep in touch with her friends, but it’s no different than what she did before MySpace. Sent an email/PM saying look at my pictures, then posted in her blog, which was on another site.

    Where is the appeal?

Garrr, the template designs and the way the sites are put together drive me up a wall. I’m sure they are designed with the webdeveloper noob in mind, but it still seems confusing. lol I guess it’s kind of hard to argue with millions of people though….garsh.

That’s why I have contracted my wife to design a MySpace account to market a few of my websites. Not sites such as this, but rather to my Wii site, etc that will appeal to a younger crowd. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.

    AllPeers Beta Launch

I received my email today notifying me that I have access to the restricted beta program for the much awaited AllPeers. I’m not sure if I’m late to the party or if I’m early, nevertheless I’m looking forward to trying out the software tonight.

In addition, AllPeers uses a unique invite system so that my friends can try out the system as well. Currently there are 4,570 invites available for all the users of AllPeers and I have a feeling these will all go fast.

If your interested in an invite please post a comment here along with your email address and I’d be happy to send one your way, as long as they are available.

    What AllPeers is all about:

Unleash your online experience and add multimedia sharing
    capabilities to your favorite browser.

Share private photos worry-free. No passwords to remember, no public access.
